SIGNIFICANT COMMON SENSE + EXPERIENCE ==> GOOD JUDGEMENT

Filed under: BARACK OBAMA, Bush, life, news, politics, war — gasdocpol @ 1:45 pm

WHAT COUNTS IS GOOD JUDGEMENT. SOME PEOPLE TAKE LONGER TO DEVELLOP GOOD JUDGEMENT THAN OTHERS.

Making the right decision about the Iraq invasion called for an understanding of world affairs, the ability to assess the risks and benefits of a military intervention and an overview of the military consequences. Having understood those things it then was necessary to decide yes or no. Obama got it right and most of those in power got it wrong. That is what good judgement is all about.

People make a big mistake if they only look at years of experience and assume that everyone is on the same learning curve.
