COMMON SENSE IS THE ABILITY TO HAVE THE RIGHT JUDGEMENT WITHOUT SPECIAL TRAINING OR EXPERIENCE

Filed under: BARACK OBAMA, Bush, hillary clinton, life, mideast, news, politics, war — gasdocpol @ 5:29 pm

BARACK OBAMA HAD EITHER ENOUGH EXPERIENCE OR SPECIAL TRAINING OR ENOUGH COMMON SENSE OR SOME COMBINATION THEREOF TO GET IT RIGHT ABOUT THE IRAQ WAR.

Hillary either needed even more experience or more training or better training or more common sense or some combination thereof to get it right about the Iraq war. (The same thing goes for McCain.)

“Getting it right” was not a matter of a lucky guess but called for a knowledge and understanding about foreign affairs as well as a knowledge and understanding about the very likely political and military results of the Iraq invasion.

Maybe Hillary and McCain had knowledge but not understanding of the above mattters. Maybe they also had understanding also but they lacked the judgement to come to the right conclusion.

Maybe Hillary and McCain could benefit by some on the job training but it seems to me that Obama would be more ready on Day One then either of them.

  2. You can claim that Obama did not have the oportunity to vote on the Iraq war the same as I did not and you would be right.

However, you cannot deny that it is well documented that Obama not only publicly opposed the Iraq invasion and the reasons he gave were based on information that was available to all of us.

Did he or did he not tell us WHY the invasion was a bad idea?

Did he identify the relavent facts, prioritize them appropriately and use them to arrive at the right decision?

Did Hillary not properly understand the likely effect of invading an oil rich Arab country that did not attack us and was no danger to us? Clearly Obama DID have the grasp of foreign relations that totally eluded Hillary.

Was Obama not clear and totally unambiguous when opposed the Iraq invasion.

Hillary and McCain do not have the luxury of having voted against the war either. On the contrary, they voted for it.
