DO WE REALLY WANT TO TRADE A PHONEY COWBOY* FOR A PHONEY WAR HERO‡?

* GW Bush can barely ride a horse. The “Bush Ranch” is not even a working farm much less a working ranch. It is a house in the country.

‡ McCain flew relatively few combat missions and apparently none of them qualified as heroic or exceptional. as a POW , he gave more than : name rank and serial number and possibly much more. He has blocked access to north Vietnamese records which would either confirm or contradict his version of his internment. I suspect that if they could confirm his story, they would be released.

  2. Obama is a proven liar and has not served in the military.

  3. In the Navy, McCain was a proven raunchy party boy and risk taking hotdogging flyboy who lost several navy planes. It is well established that McCain is a superstitious compulsive gambler with an anger management problem.

Lincoln spent no appreciable time in the military and FDR spent none . They both did just fine .

GW Bush pretended to be a cowboy and McCain pretends to be a war hero. I question both of these claims.

I also question whether either of these claims qualifies either of them to be President.

  4. I know Lincoln and FDR (I have read a lot about them) and
Obama is no Lincoln or FDR.

  5. And McCain is no war hero. It remains to be seen if Obama is no Lincoln or Roosevelt

With all the sniping from the Clinton camp about whether Barack Obama has enough experience to make a strong president, consider another presidential candidate who was far more of a novice. He had the gall to run for president even though he had served a single undistinguished term in the House of Representatives, before being hounded back to his district.

    That was ABRAHAM LINCOLN.
