IF LUCK IS WHERE OPPORTUNITY AND PREPARATION MEET, JOHN McCAIN WAS EITHER VERY UNLUCKY OR VERY UNPREPARED.
McCain III lost jet number one in 1958 when he plunged into Corpus Christi Bay while practicing landings. He was knocked unconscious by the impact coming to as the plane settled to the bottom.
McCain’s second crash occurred while he was deployed in the Mediterranean. “Flying too low over the Iberian Peninsula,” Timberg wrote, “he took out some power lines [reminiscent of the 1998 incident in which a Marine Corps jet sliced through the cables of a gondola at an Italian ski resort, killing 20] which led to a spate of newspaper stories in which he was predictably identified as the son of an admiral.”

McCain’s third crash three occurred when he was returning from flying a Navy trainer solo to Philadelphia for an Army-Navy football game.
Timberg reported that McCain radioed, “I’ve got a flameout” and went through standard relight procedures three times before ejecting at one thousand feet. McCain landed on a deserted beach moments before the plane slammed into a clump of trees.
# 4 PLANE
McCain, who was on board the USS Forrestal in the Gulf of Tonkin on July 29, 1967, and whose A-4 Skyhawk was struck by an air-to-ground Zuni missile that had misfired from an F-4 Phantom.’
It is believed by many crewmen and those who have investigated the case that McCain deliberately ‘wet-started’ his A-4E to shake up the guy in the plane behind his A-4. ‘Wet-starts’, done either deliberately or accidentally, shoot a large flame from the tail of the aircraft.
In McCain’s case, the ‘wet-start’ apparently ‘cooked off’ and launched the Zuni rocket from the rear F-4 that touched off the explosions and a massive fire. The F-4 pilot was reportedly killed in the conflagration.
McCain was quickly transferred to the USS Oriskany (the only Forrestal crewman to be immediately transferred). After the disaster, McCain was shot down over North Vietnam on October 26, 1967.
It was also followed by a comment that McCain was quickly transferred because the remaining crewmen wanted to hang him because of what he did.
This should explain why a missile would come out of “no where” to hit McCain’s jet and cause an explosion.

McCain was shot down over North Vietnam on October 26, 1967. Conceiveably this was not his fault but this has not been ruled out.
WOULD A SUPERSTITIOUS, COMPULSIVE GAMBLER WITH AN ANGER MANAGEMENT PROBLEM BE PREPARED TO BE COMMANDER-IN-CHIEF ON DAY ONE?
I WOULD RATHER TAKE MY CHANCES WITH SOMEONE WHO WAS COOL AND SMART LIKE BARACK OBAMA.
