What worries a small group of GOP Senators and Congressmen even more is a deep and dark skeletal secret in McCain’s glorified past to which they are privy, and which the Clintons will use to blackmail him. They have been having discussions with a Russian whom we’ll call “T” for Translator. T’s father was the Soviet military intelligence officer who ran the “Hanoi Hilton” prison holding captured Americans during the Vietnam War. One of those prisoners was John McCain…

McCain was kept at the Hanoi Hilton from December 1969 until his release, along with all the remaining POWs, in March of 1973. During this time, T translated all the Vietnamese interrogators’ notes and reports regarding John McCain.

According to T, they reveal that McCain had made an “accommodation” with his captors, and in exchange, T’s father saw that he was provided with an apartment in Hanoi and the services of two prostitutes. Upon returning to his prison cell, he would say he had been held in solitary confinement. That may be why so many of his fellow prisoners said later they saw so little of him at Hoa Loa.

The notes and reports written in Vietnamese were sent to Moscow, where T was a now a college student, for T’s translation into Russian, then placed into GRU archives. That’s where they stayed until 1991. Late that year, as the Soviet Union was collapsing, the CIA and the GRU made a deal for a document swap.

All of what it involved, T doesn’t know. What T’s father, by now retired but still with substantial contacts within the GRU, did learn (and thus T learned) was that the swap included all of T’s translations.

In other words, the CIA has in its possession the notes and reports of John McCain’s interrogators at the Hanoi Hilton, in both the original Vietnamese and translated Russian, showing collaboration with his Communist captors…

The small group of Senators and Congressmen who have been briefed by T have been unable to confirm with the CIA any details of its document swap with the GRU beyond an admission that such a swap “may have happened.” They are very nervous about pursuing the matter any further.

The Clintons are not nervous. They are utterly ruthless, and have buddies at Langley all too happy to help them.

  1. This post has nothing to do with GW Bush who was born with privileges and family influence that some people would kill for. He was a drifter with a drinking problem until he was 40 and then a serially failing businessman until the Neocons propped him up as their front.

Obama came from humble origons and went to elite schools on scholarships and loans. He was brilliant at Harvard Law School and then a successful lawyer and then successful in government.

McCain was like GW Bush who was born into privilege and family influence. Like GW Bush he was a poor student and then a rauchy party boy and risk-taking hot dog flyboy. He managed to convince others that he was a war hero.

  2. You mean Obama got all the freebies he could get from his country and went with the rich kids to school, not the middle class and then his wife said that she was not proud of her country her entire adult life!

  3. Obama got into an elite prep school in Hawaii on his own merit. That suggests to me that Obama was certainly cerebral and smart. He apparantly did well enough at Occidental College to transfer to Columbia after 2 years. He got into Harvard Law without the kind of influence that McCain and GW Bush had to get into college. Unlike the latter two he was a superb student. That does not sound to me as if he got any freebees.

Actually Michelle said that she WAS now proud of the USA and so am I. I was pretty ashamed of the USA when so many people voted for GW Bush in 2000 and 2004

  8. What gives you the right to judge another persons life not knowng whether or not what the real circumstances of any situations were. writing about the two presedential canidates and our current president is ignorant. Our country didnt just wake up and have George Bush as a president, if u didn’t notice it was the choice of our citizens.

This post was about John McCain who is very much like GW Bush but that is another topic.

    A. You said “What gives you the right to judge another persons life not knowng whether or not what the real circumstances of any situations were?”

I assume you are referring to McCain. I would like to know the real circumstances. He has given one version of his internment as a POW which has not been confirmed. In his version , he is a saint and upon this version is based his war hero status. An equally unconfirmed version is more consistant with his behavior pre and post Vietnam.
If Mccain would release North Vietnamese records, we could resolve that question. whey is he hiding those records?

    B. Our country didnt just wake up and have George Bush as a president, if u didn’t notice it was the choice of our citizens?

Democracy, however better it is than any other form of government,it occasionally makes mistake. Bush ran a good campaign, Gore ran a lousy one, and Nader and hanging chads screwed up the vote in Florida.

GW Bush was a drifter with a drinking problem until he was 40 then a serial failure in business. The members of the Project For a New American Century had their agenda prepared and published before they propped up an uninformed, inexperienced, failed businessman named George W. Bush as their poster candidate.

He had great appeal among the good ole boys and the bible thumpers who were not very likely to vote for the scowling man behind the curtain, Dick Cheney.

George W. Bush had not been sitting around for the previous 10 years thinking about foreign policy. Rather, he was being coached on foreign policy by handlers who had to teach him that Africa was a continent and not a country.

The stated aims of PNAC can be followed from their war plans to their hopes of global military superiority. George W. Bush was not a factor when PNAC was writing its openly published policies. But once the 2000 election was secured, PNAC members became and remain the mainstay of the Bush administration, holding virtually every major position relating to foreign policy.

    C. What gives me the right? Are we both supposed to uncritically accept what ever polititions tell us?
