except when they feel like bringing it up to prove some point. (Joe Conason)
NOT EVEN A FOUR STAR GENERAL WHO HAS HAD THOUSANDS MORE HOURS IN COMBAT THAN JOHN McCAIN’S 20 HOURS CAN EVEN QUESTION McCAIN’S MILITARY RECORD AND HOW IT RELATES TO BHIS BECOMING COMMANDER-IN-CHIEF.
Lets compare McCain and Clark from the point of view of war heroism.
Only one month into his command, he was shot four times by a Viet Cong soldier with an AK-47. The wounded Clark shouted orders to his men, who counterattacked and defeated the Viet Cong force. Clark had injuries to his right shoulder, right hand, right hip, and right leg, and was sent to Valley Forge Army Hospital in Phoenixville, Pennsylvania to recuperate. He was awarded the Silver Star for his actions during the encounter.
McCain flew 23 unheroic combat missions over Vietnam. He was a POW for 5 1/2 years
Clark was valedictorian at West Point. McCain was 895 out of a class of 899 at Annapolis.
Clark was a Rhodes Scholar and was awarded a Masters Degree in Philosphy, Psychology and Economics from Oxford.
Clark was awarded a Master’s in Military Science from the Command and General Staff War College.
McCain attended the Navy War College but apparently took up space because he did not receive any degree.
CLARK WAS A GENERAL FOR 10 YEARS.
BASED ON GENERAL WESLEY CLARK’S ACADEMIC, ADMINISTRATIVE AND BATTLEFIELD RECORD AND THE VALIDITY OF THE QUESTION ,I FIND IT UNBELIEVEABLE THAT ANYONE CRITICIZING CLARK IS GIVEN ANY CREDIILITY AT ALL.
