HOW COULD OBAMA STAY IN REV. WRIGHT’S CHURCH FOR 20 YEARS?

Sometimes spouses just start ignoring their partners faults and stop noticing them after a while.

I think that Obama knew that Rev. Wright was a mixed bag but there were a lot of good things about him too and Wright was the one who was the person who helped Obama become a Christian. Obama is not one to throw out the baby with the wash water. They had worked together when Obama was a community organizer. Obama had the judgement to recognise what was valuable about Wright and what was not. The good is often mixed with the bad. Obama found common ground with Wright . Now if Barack Obama were mouthing things that were anything like those things that we all found so reprehensible, there would be some basis for criticizing Obama’s judgeme4nt for staying in the church. If anything it is proof that Obama has good judgement because he can find good where others only find bad.

SO IF YOU WANT TO CRITICIZE OBAMA GO FOR IT, BUT WHEN YOU THINK ABOUT IT, IT IS NOT ALL THAT DIFFICULT TO UNDERSTAND UNLESS YOU ARE LOOKING FOR A PRETEXT TO NOT LIKE OBAMA.

  1. Liberalscum Buster,

    Two points:

1). Many see the fact that he stayed close to Rev. Wright as a political move, not a religious one. There is no doubt that being close to the Reverend helped endear him to the large African-American (I hate these hyphenated terms; aren’t we all just Americans?) voter base in Chicago.

2). Obama and his wife may be intelligent enough to separate the anti-American, anti-white ravings of Rev. Wright from his religious preachings. I find it hard to believe that responsible parents would subject their children to that crap, however, unless there is some belief in the brainwashing rhetoric. His children are in the formative years of their lives that will shape who they become in the future.

  2. Those tirades that were replayed ad nauseum on FOX were not the only things that Wright ever said. Despite everything, Wright was generally well regarded and respected before the anti-Omama forces did a job on Wright
