DOES EVERYONE KNOW WHO JOHN McCAIN IS?

Filed under: BARACK OBAMA, Bush, hillary clinton, John McCain, life, mideast, news, politics, war — gasdocpol @ 11:47 am

DO THEY KNOW THAT HE IS INTELLECTUALLY LAZY?
He was in the bottom 1% of his class at the Naval Academy.
He repeatedly confused Shiites, Sunnis and Al Qaeda. He did not even know the players in Iraqi politics.
He has shown and admitted that he does not know much about economics.

Do they know that he is emotionally unstable?
When he was a toddler he would hold his breath until he passed out when he did not get his way.
In high school he got in so many fights, his nickname was Punk McNasty.
At the Naval academy, he often flew off the handle.
In the Senate he had profanity laden outbursts at other Senators when they disagreed.

He has superstitious in need of multiple charms and rituals.

He is a compulsive gambler who spends 14 hours at a stretch at crap tables, betting thousands per roll.

He spent a grand total of 20 hours on 23 combat missions that were neither heroic nor exceptional.

His version of his POW internment are unconfirmed and he has blocked access to North Vietnamese records. There are other versions that are more consistent with his behavior before and after Vietnam.
Many other POWs were offered and refused early release. It is known that McCain gave more than name rank and serial numbers unlike many or most of the other POWs. There is testimony that he gave information thnat got other US fliers shot down. (With about as much confirmation as McCain’s version.

McCain was not only a close friend of Charles Keating but it is well documented that McCain actively and deliberately interfered with government oversight of Keating’s fraudulent banking that resulted in 20,000 people losing life savings and costing taxpayers 2 billion.

  1. You have been making the same handful of observations for at least a half a year. You threw in a new falsehood this time, however. John McCain was cleared of all charges in the Keating development.

A man that has served his country for five decades certainly is going to be someone who has am easily observable record.

A man with numerous dubious associations and no meaningful contributions in the few political offices that he briefly visited is another story.

One candidate is certainly known. The other is the biggest question mark this country has ever had this close to running America.

Of course “running America” is quite a misleading statement. Congress controls all aspects of government from the economy through war funding. When Democrats took over control of both the Senate and the House two years ago, the country’s decline began.

With Barack Obama as President, presiiding over a Democratic majority House and a Democratic majority Senate, things will move all too quickly. With five Supreme Court Judges in their seventies, one can easily speculate that Liberals will control the country’s highest court, as well.

One can only wonder how quickly the snowball of doom will build as it rolls down the hill of a system with absolutely no checks and balances.

    1. █John McCain was cleared of all charges in the Keating development?

    A. OJ was cleared of murder charges too. Does that make him innocent?
    B. McCain is good at covering his butt. He had had capers to talk his way out of since he was Punk McNasty in high school. He has gotten good at it.
    C. There is good documentation of friendship, favors and donations by Keating. Also help that McCain gave to Keating.

2.█ A man that has served his country for five decades certainly is going to be someone who has am easily observable record?

The country served McCain more than he deserved the country.
    A. It gave him a pretty uniform and later gold wings that got him the girls all because of his father and grandfather who were 4 star admirals.
    B. His pull in the navy got a debateable record turned into a war hero status and a subsequent career in the Senate.

3.█ A man with numerous dubious associations and no meaningful contributions in the few political offices that he briefly visited is another story.

    A. Bill Ayres was a saint compared to Charles Keaton.
    B. Ayres was a protester against the Vietnam war when Obama was 8 years old. Obama first met him 25 years later.
    C. Which was worse? Johnson fabricating the Tonkin Gulf incident and getting almost 60,000 killed or Ayres setting off explosins destroying property but not killing anyone.
    D. I would say those facts are very different from what the McCain campaign is trying to make people believe.

    4. █One candidate is certainly known. The other is the biggest question mark this country has ever had this close to running America?

    A. I Submit that it is not generally known that McCain is an intellectually lazy, emotionally unstable, superstitious, compulsive gambler with an anger management problem.

    B. Given the above, most Americans have not considered how these trait would impact on the presidency.

    C. Obama is no big question mark to me. He is smart, has common sense and is hard working and articulate. I am 69 and have been around the block a few times. I have voted for as many Republicans as Democrats.

5.█ Of course “running America” is quite a misleading statement. Congress controls all aspects of government from the economy through war funding. When Democrats took over control of both the Senate and the House two years ago, the country’s decline began.

    A. There is a borderline Democratic majority in the Senate , with Bush able to veto everything, I would not call that control.
    B. The Iraq fisaco and the skyrocketing national debt started before 2006.

6.█ With Barack Obama as President, presiiding over a Democratic majority House and a Democratic majority Senate, things will move all too quickly. With five Supreme Court Judges in their seventies, one can easily speculate that Liberals will control the country’s highest court, as well.

Any supreme court that could put Alfred E. Newman in the White House needs some change.

    7. █One can only wonder how quickly the snowball of doom will build as it rolls down the hill of a system with absolutely no checks and balances.

    A. I agree that we need checks and balances. That has been a big cause of the problems since 2001.

  3. Hi Gasdocpol! It’s good to see you with your usual zeal.

    1) Because OJ wasn’t convicted, I guess all people charged with crimes and misdeeds are ultimately guilty.

    2) You never addressed anything of substance in Obama’s political record. John McCain does have a track record in politics.

    3) You forgot to mention Tony Rezko, Jeremiah Wright, Nadhami Auchi, James Meeks, The Woods Fund, Rashid Khalid, the Chicago Annenberg Challenge, ACORN …

    4) Because Obama is a good student, it does not indicate that he is necessarily smart, it is no indicator of common sense and I’ll give you the fact that he is certainly articulate.

    5) You forgot to mention skyrocketing gas prices, which was one of the main issues that the Democrats ran on in 2006 and their ability to lower them. They have increased 150% since then. They are now falling due to the economic instability in the world caused by Democrats’ refusal to regulate Fannie Mae/Freddie Mac and the pressure applied to them by ACORN to give loans to unqualified individuals – something Bill Clinton was directly responsible for (and to a lesser extent, Jimmy Carter).

    6) Cute MAD magazine reference! Ignored, is the scary proposition that the entire system of checks and balances will be in jeopardy.

    7) Republicans held a slight advantage from 2004-2006 only. Hardly the numbers we will be talking about in the Obama scenario.

I barely make enough money to survive and am falling further behind every day. Despite that, I believe in a true Conservative approach to government far more than the bottom-up philosophy of Liberals. Unfortunately, Republicans have lost their way in recent years and have become tax and spend Liberals. Replacing them with clearly defined Liberals does not solve the problem.

Thank you for your honest questions. Indeed, they are ones that I personally need to reconsider.

You bring up some valid points of discussion .
I have a few things to do now but I will respond as soon as possible starting with:

Tony Rezko, Jeremiah Wright, Nadhami Auchi, James Meeks, The Woods Fund, Rashid Khalid, the Chicago Annenberg Challenge, ACORN

  5. POLITICAL REPUBLICAN OPINION for openners
    Tony Retzko

“Obama lives in a $1.4 million dollar house that he acquired through a deal with a wealthy fund raiser. How?”

Obama purchased a home that had been on the market for well over a year with an offer that was 15% below asking price, well within the national average as reported by the American Real Estate Brokers Association. The house was financed through Northern Trust via traditional home mortgage.

    Jeramiah Wright

    A. The hand-picked snippets of Wright’ utterings which were replayed ad nauseum on FOX gave a distorted view of Wright
    1. Wright has received a Rockefeller Fellowship and seven honorary doctorate degrees, including from Colgate University, Valparaiso University, United Theological Seminary and Chicago Theological Seminary.
    2. In 1961 Wright left college and joined the United States Marine Corps and became part of the 2nd Marine Division attaining the rank of private first class. In 1963, after two years of service, Wright joined the United States Navy and entered the Corpsman School at the Great Lakes Naval Training Center.[12][7] Wright was then trained as a cardiopulmonary technician at the National Naval Medical Center in Bethesda, Maryland. Wright was assigned as part of the medical team charged with care of President Lyndon B. Johnson (see photo of Wright caring for Johnson after his 1966 surgery). Before leaving the position in 1967, the White House Physician, Vice Admiral Burkley, personally wrote Wright a letter of thanks on behalf of the United States President.
    B. Wright helped get Obama started as a community organizer.
    C. Wright brought Obama to Jesus in a way that resonated with Obama
    D. Wright may well have been a sort of surrogate father to Obama.
    E. Obama was able to sort out what was good and what was bad in Wright in the same way he sorted out the facts in October 2002 and decided an Iraq war would be a dumb war . He did not throw out the baby with the wash water.
    F. Obama probably tuned out the negative things about Wright.

IN ANY CASE THERE IS NO SIMILARITY BETWEEN THOSE SNIPPETS THAT EVERYONE HAS SEEN AND OBAMA

    Bill Ayres

    A. Ayres was a Vietnam war protestor who set off some explosions. The GOP has sought to portray him as something similar to Osama Bin Laden. He was protesting against a war the was fabricated by LBJ with the Tonkin Gulf Resolution that killed almost 60,000 Americans.
    B. Ayres misdeeds occurred when Obama was 8 years old. Obama met him for the first time 25 years later. By then Ayres was a respected educator.( Professor at University of Illinois)
    C. Ayres misdeeeds were condemned by Obama.

    D. Obama and Ayres were never very close.

    E. McCAIN’S RELATIONSHIP WITH KEATING WERE EXTREMELY DIFFERENT FROM THOSE BETWEEN OBAMA AND AYRES IN SEVERAL CRUCIAL RESPECTS.

    1. McCAIN AND KEATING WERE EXTREMLY CLOSE
    2. McCAIN USED H IS POSITION IN THE SENATE TO ALLOW KEATING TO CARRY OUT HIS NEFARIOUS ACTS WHICH RESULTED IN OVER 20,000 PEOPLE LOSING THEIR LIFE SAVINGS AND THE NECESSITY OF THE GOVERNMENT AND TAXPAYERS PAYING 2 BILLION TO BAIL OUT LINCOLN SANINS BANK.

3.KEATING GAVE McCAIN AT LEAST $112,000 IN CONTRIBUTIONS PLUS OTHER FAVORS (Ayes gave Obama $200)

    4. AYRES EXPLOSIONS DID NOT KILL ANYONE. KEATING DID FAR MORE HARM TO AMERICANS.

  7. Best Online Forex,

lol….It does boggle the mind! I had a basketball and football coach in high school who said “You can’t make chicken salad out of chicken shit” But seemingly, it seems to happen sometimes.

As far as I have been able to figure it out, Both GW Bush and John McCain were born with a decent amount of intelligence and opportunities and resources that some people would kill for. They develloped some good social skills but otherwise were screwups.

They both had their families’ resources behind them. They both got into and through institutes of higher learning (Yale and USNA)without participating much in any of that higher learning. They were propelled by their family reasources and influence and misbehaved far into adulthood.

I am 70 years old and have been around the block a few times in several contexts.I went through training to be a naval line officer. I have been an officer on board ships at sea, I earned an MBA and I practiced critical care medicine for over 33 years. I have seen the interaction of: experience, training, common sense and judgement.

I see McCain as a mostly intellectually lazy (he has some interest in history), emotionally unstable, superstitious ,compulsive gambler with an anger management problem.

I have been a close observer of myself and others in positions and situations of responsibility over many years. I have assessed strenghths and shortcomings in myself and others.

I see Obama as cool, articulate and cerebral with common sense and with strong potential to be an outstanding President.

Obama is a cool poker player. McCain is a hot headed crapshooter.
