  1. I am a nearly retired physician. I have lived in Europe 7 years and I have seen a good part of the world. I have an MBA and I am board certified in my specialty.

  2. I am now a retired physician. I was board certified in anesthesiology. In 2004, I finished an MBA which I had pursued, generally one course at a time over a number of years. I have visited many foreign countries prior to studying medicine in French in Europe where I lived for seven years.

I grew up in a home where Democrat was a bad word. I think that anyone who states that they are Liberal or Conservative is really saying “I have made up my mind and don’t confuse me with facts” Neither Conservatives nor Liberals have a monopoly on the truth or all the answers. We need them both to keep each other honest.

I voted for GHW Bush (the Elder) in 1988 and I think that he was a good, competent President.I think that Jeb Bush is very intellegent and was a capable Governor of Florida. Based on his participation in PNAC, I have some very strong reservations about his politics.

I have been accused of being a “Bush Hater” which implies that I have some irrational, inappropriate hatred of GW Bush.I do not hate the man but I do hate the things that are being done in his name. I can give well documented reasons why I think that GW Bush was totally unqualified to be President and has been a disaster in that post. I think that supporters of GW Bush have an irrational , inappropriate love for G.W. Bush.

I feel strongly that what constitutes US Iraq policy now is at best symptomatic and palliative treatment. Radical surgery is required and partition of Iraq is the only curative treatment that I can see.

As someone who has earned a living as a navigator it is my opinion that the “Stay the course” policy of the present administration violates basically all the rules of navigation.

As a physician, it is my opinion that radical surgery is required in Iraq.

  3. The truth lies somewhere in the middle and it is our duty as humans to think and reason.

  4. Yes. An argument can be “valid” but not “sound” if the premises are wrong.

For example IF the WMD that Saddam had (if indeed he had them) would be any match for the arsenal of the USA. And IF after the world, including Arabs, rose up as one to throw Saddam out of Kuwait, Saddam was crazy and stupid enough to attack the USA which spent more on defense than the next 12 countries combined.

It would seem that the reasoning and thinking of Hillary and Edwards was inferior to that of Obama.

The Iraq war was dumb from so many points of view and Obama predicted with uncanney accuracy what would happen.

  6. Nice try, but completely bogus and a mere reiteration of liberal boilerplate, buzzwords, and sockpuppetry.

Just another mass produced counterblog cranked out by the hundreds by a few socialista funded misfits of the blogosphere.

Clever name, although that itself is a lie.

  7. Socialista funded? What do you mean by that? I am sorry if you take exception to my thoughts. Is this not what democracy is all about? I would not be a good citizen if I accepted without questioning the disastrous course that the USA has been following since 2001.

I assume that this is a personal attack on me. Hmmm

  8. I agree, I’d talk baseball or other topics with George W. Bush the person, I just cringe at any thought of him representing me as an American.

  9. GW Bush started out as a likeable airhead cheerleader now he is universally dispised abroad and by many Americans.

Give me an elitist any day.
